The agreement has come about due to the interest of both parties to take advantage of synergies in the field of training professionals specialized in apparel and fashion and a business sector pointer.

“The partnership between business schools and companies always enriches the development of these institutions and the contribution of value to society. That alliance is increasingly necessary in industries with very marked peculiarities, as with the fashion industry,” Teresa Sádaba, Director of ISEM Fashion Business School-University of Navarra, said in a statement.

Miguel Giribet, Country Manager of Privalia in Spain, said, “It is a pleasure to work with this great professional school. In Privalia, we firmly believe that the business of fashion, innovation and training should go together to exploit synergies generated between the parties.”

Besides Spain, Privalia operates in Italy, Brazil, Mexico, and the Netherlands. It has over 15 million members worldwide and last year, the company’s revenue grew by 32 percent year-on-year to €422.5 million.

Established in 2001, the ISEM Fashion Business School-University of Navarra was born with the aim of training professionals with negotiation and leadership skills to work in the apparel and fashion industry. The mission of the school is to promote professionalization of the sector through training and research, which is the centre of convergence between management and creativity.

ISEM business school already has nine chairs with business groups Inditex, El Corte Ingles, Cortefiel, Mustang, La Caixa, Loewe, Hoss Intropia, Telefónica, and Banco Santander.

These companies provide funding and resources for research and development of case studies, giving scholarships to students, and bring qualified specialized national and international faculty.
