Italian cooperative Milchhof Sterzing has installed two new SetLine packaging lines from Oystar A+F, which have the capacity to handle up to 22,000 yogurt cups per hour.
The packaging systems, which feature integrated top-sleeving technology, support operation without sleeves and also allow the company to package single cups.
According to Oystar, products are supplied by conveyor belts and sleeved to sets of two or eight cups.
The cooperative purchased its first system in this series from Oystar in 2007 and has been operating the SetLine, as well as a Gasti cup filling and sealing system since then.
Milchhof markets its dairy products throughout Italy, where it has annual sales of about €62m.
