Irplast to Invest in Three New Cutting Machines

Irplast has revealed its intentions to invest in two cogeneration plants and three new cutting machines to boost its operations.

While the cogeneration plants are expected to cut down on the energy costs, the new cutting machines will be installed to decrease time to market.

Besides, the Italian company plans to reorganize processes and develop its research and development (R&D) department.

It has also announced the completion of a 2015-launched renewal plan which saw 60 newly hired employees, most of them recruited in the R&D unit.

The company stated that its primary goal is to grow productivity to meet increasing global demand and to give customers with a backup system in the form of the new Bobst Rotomec 4003 MP which comes with features like 1.300mm light and 450m /min speed.

Irplast’s labeling products that will be highlighted in this month’s Interpack are the Label Tape Shrink and MD heat shrinkable pre-glued roll fed labels, which the company says is most suitable for decorating and customizing tins and containers in PET, glass or HDPE.

The Italian firm would present its printed adhesive tape named as the Irplast Food Contact Tape, which has been certified by BRC and is said to be suitable for food contact.

The BOPP film unit of the company will showcase ENV, which it claims is the S-BOPP window for letter envelopes.

Headquartered in Empoli, Florence, Irplast is a manufacturer of simultaneous bi-oriented polypropylene film. It is also into production and printing of printed adhesive tapes and BOPP shrinkable pre-glued roll-fed labels.
