The Project Will Provide The Southwest of England Based Farm

Upon completion, the project will provide the southwest of England based farm with a guaranteed rental income over the next 25 years, and a regular supply of clean electricity direct to the national grid.

The 18,000 PV panels will be installed over three adjacent fields on a site comprising 12.7 hectares, east of Axminster, Devon.  The project will provide enough electricity for approximately 1200 households.

With site approval a key element of the development process, TGC Renewables uses its own specialist in-house planning experts to work with local authorities and communities to provide projects that

work to the advantage of all.

"With the large-scale solar market proving to be an attractive investment proposition we are responding to the demands of the investor community and working closely with rural landowners to deliver successful deployment of these renewable energy projects," said Rob Denman, Director, TGC Renewables.

"Having developed significant in-house expertise, we can take our projects through the entire development cycle from feasibility through to grid connection. We now have over 20MW in operation or

construction and with plans to increase this to over 100MW over the next 18 months."

Gilbert Churchill, the landowner who selected TGC Renewables commented, "We chose TGC Renewables based on the success it has had with other solar projects in the county. Having seen the agricultural community in the South West benefit a great deal from solar energy, we're looking forward to being able to support the farm with an additional income stream that will safeguard its survival for the future."

With planning approval now granted, the project is due to be completed by the middle of 2013.
