Urscough Brewery Is Planning to Expand Brewery

England-based Burscough Brewery is planning to expand its brewery to meet the increasing demand.

The company plans to move its brewing facility from its current base near the Hop Vine pub in Burscough to the the former Heaven Scent site on Burscough Street in Ormskirk by March 2013.

The new facility planned to be named as Hop Inn Bier Shoppe is expected to increase the capacity of the brewery by five times from a four barrel brewery to 20 barrel brewery.

Burscough Brewery managing director Andy Brocken was quoted by the Champnews.com as saying that the company started brewing in November 2010.

"We're hoping to have a mix of Burscough Brewery beers and German, Belgian and other continental beers on draft, with around 50 different bottled beers available when we open, with plans to introduce more as time goes on," Brocken added.

"It'll be a quirky place with a Victorian theme, with a sawdust-look floor, period furnishings and a Victorian style shopfront."
