According to the data released by metal trading enterprise Ukrainian Mining and Metallurgical Company (UGMK), in April this year Ukrainian exports of pig iron increased by 22.3 percent month on month to 158,900 mt. In the January-April period this year, exports of pig iron from Ukraine increased by 15.5 percent compared to the same period of last year, rising to 649,300 mt.
On the other hand, in the first four months of the current year Ukrainian imports of pig iron decreased by 72.9 percent year on year to 3,800 mt.
