2013 911 Carrera 4 Sports Car Are Launched by Porsche

German sports car manufacturer Porsche has unveiled its new 2013 911 Carrera 4 sports car ahead of its debut at the upcoming 2012 Paris International Motor Show to be held in France in September.

The new all wheel drive sports car is offered in four versions which include 911 Carrera 4 and 911 Carrera 4S and both as Coupé and Cabriolet.

According to the car maker, the engines of all new models will be mated to a 7-speed manual gearbox as standard, and the Porsche Doppelkupplung (PDK) gearbox is offered as an option.

The Coupé variant of the new 2013 911 Carrera 4 will generate an output of 350hp and is claimed to sprint from 0-100km/h in 4.5 seconds, while the Cabriolet can sprint the same speed in 4.7 and will be capable of travelling at a top speed of 282 km/h.

The Coupé and Cabriolet variants of the 911 Carrera 4S will be mated to a 3.8litre rear-mounted boxer engine which will generate an output of 400hp and allow the variants to sprint from 0-100km/h in 4.1 seconds and 4.3 seconds respectively.

Both Coupé and Cabriolet variants of 911 Carrera 4S will offer a top speed of 299 km/h and 296 km/h respectively, Porsche said.

Features of the new sports car include an optional adaptive cruise control (ACC) to the entire model range, Porsche Active Safe (PAS), along with an optional sliding glass sunroof for the 911 Carrera Coupé.

Porsche said that all the new 911 models will be launched by the end of 2012.
