Super Bowl Will Be Streamed Live Online with More Mobile Devices Can Also View

Last year was the first time the Super Bowl was streamed live online. This year, the Big Game in the Big Easy moves from NBC to CBS, which plans to offer a live stream of the game to desktops, laptops, and tablets on NFL.com and CBSSports.com. Those with mobile devices can also view a live stream of the game, but only via Verizon's exclusive NFL Mobile app.

CBS and the NFL are promising lots of second-screen fun, including "immediate access to Super Bowl commercials as they are broadcast" (so you can watch them over and over again, if you so desire). And CBS is adding a live stream of the halftime show—this year featuring Beyoncé.

More pertinent to the sport itself, you'll be able to view the game from four additional camera angles. The first, dubbed the "All-22" camera angle, gives you a full-field view from the 50-yard line and shows all players on the field. The fixed-position "Fan Choice" camera changes views as the game is played, based on either a producer's choice or polls of online game watchers. The Sideline camera moves to provide field-level views of offense action. And the Cable camera provides an aerial view of the field from behind the play, and stays focused on the ball.

If you're planning hang out on Twitter during the game, the network suggests you use the hashtag #CBSSuperBowl, which will get you onto the "official" tweet stream. Check the network's official Super Bowl XLVII website for more details, as we count down to the big day.
