Lite-On Technology has announced May consolidated revenues of the parent company and its subsidiaries of NT$16.49 billion (US$553 million), showing a sequential growth of 1%. Consolidated May revenues of the parent company were NT$10.31 billion, representing an on-month growth of 4% compared to April.
Accumulated consolidated revenues of the parent company and subsidiaries from January-May 2013 were NT$79.16 billion. Accumulated consolidated revenues for the first five months of the parent company were NT$48.18 billion.
Lite-On Technology stated that due to rising demand for cloud applications and handsets, demand for high-end telecom equipment and server power supplies has also been increasing, and this has helped the firm to see revenues increase from the power supply business unit in May. In addition, shipments of high-end service chassis have been increasing, hence revenues from these products showed 20% growth in May compared to April. May revenues from PC peripheral sales showed 10% on-month growth, said Lite-On Technology.
May revenues from LED component and lighting sales showed on-month growth of 13% and on-year growth of 24%, added Lite-On Technology. Among LED products, May sales of LED components showed almost 100% on-year growth in May, said the firm.
Leotek, a subsidiary of Lite-On Technology, has obtained LED street lamp orders in Taiwan totaling 46,000 units.
