General Motors(GM)is planning to double the size of its global design centre in Incheon,South Korea,by adding more display spaces,new modeling studios and spaces for creative work.
The company said that by next year,it will complete the expansion of the design center and will provide modern work environment for over 200 workers that will provide digital design,interior and exterior vehicle styling and studio engineering.
Chevrolet Miray concept was the last product which rolled off the design center in 2011.
According to the company,the expansion of the design center will adhere to its environmental design practices including the use of sustainable building technologies concerning the energy,recycled materials and water.
GM Korea president and CEO Sergio Rocha said,"Our extended facility will give us an edge over the competition as we continue developing exciting new vehicles for the world."
