According to data released by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK), the country’s exports of hot rolled coils (HRC) totaled 113,492 tons in November, jumping by 72% from 65,803 tons in October while remaining almost unchanged in comparison of the figures in the same month of 2012.
In November, Portugal was the largest importer of the Turkish HRC with 37,448 tons; Italy was the second largest one with 16,143 tons and Egypt was the third largest one with 10,138 tons.
However, Turkey’s exports of cold rolled coils (CRC) fell by 8.5% year on year to 28,167 tons in November. The country’s coated steel flat product exports also slumped by 42% year on year to 32,426 tons.
