Foreign media quoted a person in the know saying that Lenovo Group Limited (SEHK: 0992) is considering an acquisition of BlackBerry smart phone maker Research In Motion Limited (RIM; Nasdaq: RIMM).
The top Chinese maker of computers and mobile phones has inked agreement with the potential acquisition target for keeping secrets so that it can look through accounts of the latter.
Both parties declined to make comments. Actually, Lenovo is only one of the intended buyers.
