A snacks food manufacturing cluster,which will the first in India,is expected to be operational in the next two years.
The proposed facility is expected to provide 2,300 jobs and would receive an investment of about$2.78m,said Micro Small and Medium Enterprises Development Institute(MSME-DI).
The blueprint of the project has been assigned by the MSME-DI.The cluster will be constructed in a 13 acre land at the Sanwer road industrial area in India,reported the Economic Times.
Snack makers will be given training on the maintenance of quality and conservation of the products by using better packaging techniques while the technology used will reduce the power consumption by 40%.
According to the company,the facility will also include water treatment plant and laboratories.
