Chesapeake Angoulême has announced the installation of a new Brausse hot foil stamping machine in a bid to offer its customers a range of carton finishes suitable for cosmetics and personal care products.
Chesapeake sales director - France Fabien Chenudeau said packaging, which is the key interface between personal care products and the consumer, can play a crucial role in supporting a brand's value.
"The Brausse machine will allow us to precisely control the foil blocking process ensuring it is in perfect register on every carton," Chenudeau said.
According to Chesapeake, the machine can also process a range of sheet sizes and material types and can also be run as a cut and crease press if necessary.
The installation of the new technology also coincides with a new Muller Martini Alprinta 74 web offset printing press at the company's St Pierre facility, which will print patient-information leaflets for the healthcare market.
The investment is expected to increase the company's capacity and ability considerably, positioning both operations to benefit from further growth.
