The Imports of Pipes and Tubes in May Falls by 8.8% From 632,000 Tons in April

According to final American Iron and Steel Institute trade (AISI), the imports of pipes and tubes totaled 577,423 tons in May, falling by 8.8% from 632,000 tons in April.

In May, the country’s imports of oil country tubular goods (OCTG) totaled 223,227 tons, decreasing by 6.5% from a month ago. Among them, 58,292 tons were from Korea, decreasing by 15.1% month on month.

Meanwhile, the country’s imports of line pipes totaled 195,096 tons, falling by 9.6% month on month.
