Ishida Europe Will Improve Its Atlas Range of Snack Food Bagmakers in a Bid

Ishida Europe will improve its Atlas range of snack food bagmakers in a bid to increase the machine’s speeds on Potato Chips by a further 35% to 150 bags per minute.

The new Ishida Charge Transfer Control (CTC) system, which is easily retrofitted to existing Atlas systems, requires no additional floor space and enables boosting of packing capacity.

CTC provides control of the product charge and improves the weighing and bagmaking operation.

Due to the resulting reduction in product charge length, speeds can be controlled to deliver the increased throughput while contributing to lower product and film waste.

The CTC operation has a chute design, which features a rotary poker and shutter system, combined with product handling. Monitoring and control is done through the Ishida Snacks system control screen.

The CTC improves the performance of the Atlas bagmaker whose double rotary jaw motion delivers better packing speeds along with film registration and tight bag seals.

Ishida Europe snacks packaging systems business manager Business Manager Simon Ruffley said, "This is a further improvement to what was already the best-in-class weighing and bagging solution for the snacks market."
