Dicom Systems will launch DCMSYS router Proxy,a new feature of its DICOM/HL7 router solution,at the Radiological Society of North America(RSNA),which will be held at Chicago, until 30 November 2012.
The DCMSYS router allow users to update their current PACS with the new features, thus improving the performance and reliability without significant investment and costly network redesign.
The new feature,in addition to Dicom Systems'proprietary technology, uses LAN Bypass which is a fault-tolerance feature that protects the essential teleradiology communications in the event of power outage or any software failure.
The DICOM Proxy, which can be installed in any facility, also enables cashing of all the radiology-related data and passes it from the source to the destination securely and efficiently.
In addition, the DICOM Proxy will provide the information needed by the users without delay as well as facilitate technologists to spend more time with patients and less time dealing with the connectivity issues.
