Asda Is Recalling Its Own-Brand Great Stuff Minced Beef Hotpot as The Product

UK-based retailer Asda is recalling its own-brand Great Stuff Minced Beef Hotpot as the product contains wheat/gluten, which is mentioned on the label but not in the allergen advice box, according to the Food Standards Agency (FSA).

The product being recalled is Asda Great Stuff Minced Beef Hotpot, 200g, belonging to all date codes.

Consumers with an allergy or intolerance to wheat or gluten have been advised not to eat this product as it can lead to a severe reaction. The product can be returned to the nearest Asda store for a full refund.

Asda plans to display customer notices in the stores, explaining the reason behind the recall. The company has contacted the relevant allergy support organisations which will inform members who are intolerant of or allergic to wheat/gluten about the withdrawal.

No other Asda products are known to be affected.
