A subsidiary of US insurance and reinsurance provider Brown & Brown has purchased certain assets of Johnson & Strachan, Inc (JSI), for an undisclosed sum.
Established in 1973 and having $2.7m in annual revenues, JSI offers a number of property and casualty, employee benefits and personal lines products and services to its clients in Virginia.
Upon completion of the deal, the acquired JSI operations will be integrated with the acquirer's existing office in Manassas, Virginia and will be led by Bill Strachan, a shareholder in JSI.
"Combining the JSI team with the local Brown & Brown office enables us to increase our service offerings for our existing clients as well as enhance our abilities to acquire new clients and obtain the best talent in the industry," Strachan said. .
