The Russian steelmaker NLMK announced its financial result for the second quarter and the first half of 2013.
NLMK posted a net profit of US$34 million for the second quarter, falling by 87.8% year on year. Its sales revenues totaled US$2.82 billion, deceasing by 13% in comparison of the figures in the same period of 2012, due to lower selling prices.
In the first half of this year, NLMK realized sales revenues of US$5.68 billion, falling by 10% and its net profits slumped by 84% year on year to US$72 million.
Meanwhile, its sales volumes of steel products in the second quarter and the first half of this year totaled 3.77 million tons and 7.53 million tons, down by 1.12% and 2% year on year respectively.
