US-based Eagle Packaging Machinery has announced the launch of its YassoyoAir pneumatic tray former, which can fold several tray designs including the company’s produce, citrus and showcase designs.
Eagle Packaging vice president of sales Anthony Del Viscio said the folding mechanism of the new VassoyoAir tray former is faster and simpler compared to earlier models, thepacker.com reported.
"This machine eliminates having to retract the mandrel (folding mechanism) in order to remove the tray. It's more mechanical," Del Viscio said.
With a capability to produce up to 22 trays per minute, the machine is equipped with a color touch screen for troubleshooting and adjustments to the glue pattern or timing of the tray former.
The machine features interlocked safety gates to protect operators. It is built with a welded steel tubular frame and comes with an easy-to-load hopper.
