UK-based department store Harrods is recalling Rose Prince mincemeat and mince pies as the products contain various allergens which are not listed on the label, according to the Food Standards Agency (FSA).
The FSA has issued an allergy alert and has asked consumers who are allergic to or intolerant of wheat (gluten), nuts, milk or eggs, to not eat these products.
Harrods is recalling Harrods Rose Prince mincemeat, 400g, with a best before' date: March 2013. This product contains undeclared wheat (gluten) and nuts.
It is also recalling Harrods Rose Prince mince pies, 270g, with 'Best before' date: end 3 November 2012 and 12 November 2012. This product contains undeclared milk, egg, wheat (gluten) and nuts.
Harrods will be displaying customer notices in its stores explaining the reason behind the recall. No other Harrods products are known to be affected.
