In the January-September period of the current year, Russia's ferrous metal export volume decreased by 9.2 percent year on year to 27.25 million mt, including three million mt of pig iron, down five percent year on year, according to the State Statistics Committee of Russia (Russtat). The total value of Russia's ferrous metal exports in January-September this year was $14.747 billion, down 16.2 percent year on year.
In the January-September period this year, Russia's ferrous metal imports increased by six percent year on year to five million mt, including 660,900 mt of steel tubes, up nine percent year on year. The total value of Russia's ferrous metal imports in January-September this year was $4.5 billion, down three percent year on year.
