A Voluntary Recall of 8,400 Office Chairs Sold at Office Depot Was Announced

WASHINGTON -- The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission has announced a voluntary recall of 8,400 office chairs sold at Office Depot.

The agency said Office Depot has received 78 reports of incidents involving seat plates breaking, including one report of a fall injury.

The Realspace Soho Prestigio high-back leather chair was proed by True Innovations LLC of Hong Kong. It has both commercial and residential applications and was sold exclusively by Office Depot for about $250 from October 2008 through February 2011.

The chairs bear the SKU number 181-265 and have the words Realspace Soho and Prestigio High Back Chair Black Leather printed on a label on the underside of the seat.
