Ultraquik Peripheral Nerve Block Needles Is Arrowed by FDA Clears Teleflex

The US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has granted 510(k) approval to Teleflex's ARROW UltraQuik peripheral nerve block (PNB) needles.

UltraQuik PNB needles help clinicians to increase overall block success, while using ultrasound-guidance for performing single-injection PNBs.

UltraQuik needles also include same features of the ARROW StimuQuik ECHO needles including five grooved rings at the distal tip, which helps clinicians to identify the needle tip under ultrasound, claims the company.

Teleflex anesthesia and respiratory division president Cary Vance said, "The ARROW UltraQuik, StimuQuik and StimuQuik ECHO needles allow us to now offer products to clinicians performing peripheral nerve blocks, whether they use ultrasound only, nerve stimulation only, or a combined approach."
