The retailer will embark on a going-out-of-business sale Thursday. The first five days - Thursday, Aug. 23 through Monday, Aug. 27 - will be a private sale for the retailer's preferred customers by invitation.
The 20,000-square-foot store boasted one of the largest displays of contemporary home furnishings in North Carolina. The family-owned retailer got its start in Raleigh, N.C., and later relocated to Cary.
The retailer expects its inventory sale to be completed by the end of November.
