Last Year The Total Price-Adjusted Value of New Orders Rose by 1.9 Percent

As reported by the German Federal Statistical Office (Destatis), last year the total price-adjusted value of new orders in the overall German construction industry rose by 1.9 percent compared to 2012, with a 2.2 percent increase in the building construction sector and a 1.7 percent rise in the civil and underground engineering sector, both year on year. In the given year, the total turnover in the overall German construction industry amounted to €96.6 billion, indicating an increase of three percent compared to 2012.

Meanwhile, in December last year the total price-adjusted value of new orders received by building construction and civil and underground engineering enterprises in Germany increased by 12.2 percent year on year. In the given month, new orders in building construction in Germany increased by 15.8 percent, while new orders in civil and underground engineering were up by 9.7 percent, both on year-on-year basis. In December last year, the total turnover in the overall construction industry in Germany amounted to around €9.6 billion, up 13.5 percent year on year.
