RSA Insurance Ireland has completed the acquisition of Aon's Irish personal lines business to expand its footprint across the market and bring added momentum to profitable growth intent.
Following completion of transaction, AonInsure.ie's Personal Lines portfolio including motor and home insurance will be transferred to RSA's123.ie business.
Consistent with RSA's growth strategy in Ireland, the transaction is expected to leverage the company's positions in general insurance sectors.
RSA Insurance Ireland chief executive Philip Smith said, "RSA's financial strength and full service capability will allow us to deliver an extended range of RSA insurance product offerings and customer service programmes to AonInsure.ie's Personal Lines policyholders."
AON Ireland managing director Richard Endersen said that the company aims to further develop its Commercial Lines and Risk Management business across Ireland.
