It’s reported that India's Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL) announced that it has commissioned the country’s largest blast furnace (BF) at its Rourkela steel plant.
SAIL expected its pig iron capacity will increase by 2.5 million tons per year to 4.5 million tons per year after the blast furnace is commissioned.
Besides, the environment-friendly furnace is expected to ensure minimum emissions and recover waste energy to the fullest.
