The project involved a SpeedAC NXT controller retrofitted onto a double screw fed E-SERIES Nett weigher, at Valeo’s facility at Merrywell Industrial Estate, Ballymount, Dublin.
The Valeo Foods brand portfolio includes Irish brands such as: Batchelors, Chef, Erin, Jacobs, Odlums, Fruitfield, Old Time Irish, Sqeez and Shamrock.
The SpeedAC NXT is fitted with an Ethernet card, which enables the weighing information to be sent directly to a plant PC; thereby cutting out the need for paper records of the weighments.
Engineers from Premier Tech Chronos worked with Valeo to ensure that the protocols to undertake this information transfer were quickly integrated into the existing plant control and data capture systems.
