Moda Operandi will unveil an exclusive collection celebrating the 2013 Costume Institute exhibition, Punk: Chaos to Couture, it was announced. The exhibition, on view at The Metropolitan Museum of Art from May 9 - August 14, focuses on high fashion's appropriation of punk's avant-garde aesthetic — a theme symbolic of Moda Operandi's place at the intersection of time-honored luxury and digital innovation.
The collection features over 100 items, including new pieces designed by twelve established and vanguard designers: Balmain, Dolce & Gabbana, Eddie Borgo, Ek Thongprasert, Givenchy, House of Waris, Moschino, Prabal Gurung , Preen, Rodarte, Thom Browne, and Vivienne Westwood . The collection will also include one-of-a-kind customized clothing, plus rare vintage fashion and art objects that pay homage to punk, ranging from $100 to $13,000, available at ModaOperandi.com beginning May 2nd.
"We are thrilled to offer women the opportunity to capture the spirit of punk with pieces that balance high fashion and rebellion" — Lauren Santo Domingo, Co-Founder of Moda Operandi.
