IHOP,an American family restaurant chain,has partnered with Quaker Oats resulting in the creation of a proprietary blend of oatmeal,and the first jointly developed breakfast item between the two iconic brands.
IHOP plans to introduce three oatmeal varieties resulting from the partnership-Super Fruit&Nut Oatmeal,Super Fruit Oatmeal,and Banana&Brown Sugar Oatmeal.
IHOP marketing senior vice president Natalia Franco said that by bringing together two food brands,the company has created a product that is full of flavor and nutrition.
To help promote IHOP's new oatmeal,starting in October,the brand will launch an interactive,Facebook app that will feature on both the IHOP and Quaker Oats Facebook pages.
Also new this fall,IHOP announced plans to expand its under-600-calorie Simple&Fit Menu and other more menu offerings.New Simple&Fit additions will include Super Fruit Oatmeal;Super Fruit Oatmeal with Almonds and Walnuts;Banana and Brown Sugar Oatmeal;Kid's Whole Wheat Pancake Combo;Whole Wheat Waffle Combo;and Whole Wheat Crepe.
IHOP has about 1,557 restaurants in 50 states and the District of Columbia,as well as in Canada,Guatemala,Mexico,Puerto Rico,the United Arab Emirates,and the US Virgin Islands.
