Plysorol Intends to Close Down The Plywood Plants in Lisieux and Fontenay-Le-Comte

The French plywood manufacturer Plysorol intends to close down the plywood plants in Lisieux and Fontenay-Le-Comte in France. Plysorol operations in France would then be concentrated on the poplar-plywood plant in Epernay. Various French newspapers report that 112 employees in Fontenay-Le-Comte and 70 employees in Lisieux would be affected by the closures. Some of the affected staff will probably be offered new positions in 2013 at the Epernay site, where Plysorol current employs a work force of 95. The latest plan also envisages the transfer of production lines from Lisieux and Fontenay-Le-Comte to Epernay. Source: euwid-wood-products
