The five Nuremberg Toy Fair 2013 ToyAward winners have been revealed.
They are as follows:
Baby&Infant award (0-2 years) - Tobbles Neo (Fat Brain)
This features six colourful cups that encourage children to build their first tower. There's the option of building in a variety of ways with different shapes and angles.
Pre-school (3-5 years) - Shadow Magic (Haba)
Players have to identify figures' shadows and remember which magical is which to win.
School kids (6-10 years) - Bumm Bumm Ballon (Schmidt Spiele)
The Bumm Bumm Ballon frame is quick and easy to assemble, then it is only a matter of fastening on the balloon, which is blown up to bursting point. Every player has to gently push plastic rods further into the balloon without popping it.
Teenager&family (11 years +) - Siku Racing (Sieper)
The racers on Sieper’s Siku track don’t follow hard and fast lanes but can be freely steered on the race track staked out by a tape. With four different speeds, the control can be adapted to the driver’s expertise.
Toys 3.0 - RoboMe (Sablon/WowWee)
RoboMe (pictured) connects to an iPhone or iPod and uses speech recognition and voice control to communicate. It can learn names, sentences and master tasks. A second iOS device can be used as a video remote control.
