Nordson has announced the takeover of Sealant Equipment & Engineering that manufactures meter, mix and dispense equipment and valves that apply lubricating materials, with details of the transaction undisclosed.
As an outcome of the deal, Sealant Equipment & Engineering will operate as part of Nordson's Industrial Coating Systems segment.
Sealant Equipment & Engineering registered sales of $18m for 12 months preceding June 2012, employing 60 people.
Nordson president and CEO Michael Hilton said Sealant Equipment & Engineering provides a bigger scope in cold materials equipment segment around a variety of applications like aerospace and transportation, building and construction, alternative energy and drugs.
Nordson's existing cold material equipment offering would complement Sealant Equipment & Engineering, the firm said.
Nordson manufactures and markets differentiated products and systems for processing adhesives, coatings, sealants, biomaterials and plastics that is augmented by direct global sales and service.
