Pilkington Building Products – the manufacturers, distributors and processors of glass for architectural applications – are set to get FIT and unveil a host of exciting new additions to their current product portfolio across all market sectors.
These will include; an improved low-emissivity glass, new variants of Pilkington Activ™, up-to-date Pilkington Oriel™ patterns, their toughenable Pilkington Suncool™range, a new fire-resistant glass, improvements to the famous Pilkington Planar™ structural glazing range, as well as new concepts in glazing such as Anti-condensation glass and the use of coatings on surface 4.
Pilkington have not exhibited since the final Glassex in 2008. Marketing & Communications Manager Julia Berkin has explained the firm’s reasons for choosing FIT:
“Like most businesses we have limited funds for exhibitions, and therefore attending a show which is purely targeted at our industry provides us with the ideal platform to talk new and existing customers, and gain an insight into “what’s new” in the industry first hand.
“There appears to be a greater “energy” surrounding this event. Firstly, because of the organisation and marketing of the event, and secondly, because of the “buy-in” and engagement from the industry. It’s a long time since the last industry event, and everyone wants this show to succeed.”
