Netstal, a brand of the KraussMaffei Group has announced the expansion of its product range with the new ELION 3200, which will be unveiled at Fakuma 2012 in Friedrichshafen, Germany.
The new machine is used for manufacturing complex molded parts in the packaging, caps, medical technology and high-precision technical part segments.
Netstal will introduce the ELION 3200 as part of a complete system for manufacturing thin-walled lids for cream cheese packaging. The system positions the labels, extracts the finished parts and stacks them and helps in achieving a maximum output of 8,230 units per hour.
The machine is based on a new hybrid drive concept that combines different drive technologies. The energy-saving potential of hybrid technology is exploited using the Eco-Powerunit drive.
According to Nestal, the ELION hybrid cuts down energy consumption by up to 40%, when compared to conventional, hydraulically-driven toggle lever machines.
