Brandtjen & Kluge and Kurz Transfer Products have partnered co-market the Kurz Digital Metal technology in the US and Canada.
The partnership will combine Kurz's knowledge in the development and manufacturing of foil for the packaging and graphics industry, and Kluge's experience in both sales and technical support of foil stamping equipment.
The Digital Metal uses the benefits of the digital print workflow. Its process enables digital transfer of foil onto paper and cardboard substrates.
It is centered on the DM-Liner digital foiling device that completes the foil transfer, optimizes foil usage and manages inventory.
The Digital Metal process plays a key role in producing decorative effects for labels, brochures, invitations, magazines, packaging, photo cards and calendars.
Kurz Transfer Products CEO Thomas Hertlein said: “Kurz and Kluge share a rich history in the foil decoration industry.
“With this partnership we bundle the strengths of our companies in the areas of foil development, application technology and technical support for the benefit of our customers in the growing digital printing market.”
Kluge CEO Michael Aumann said: “The digital print workflow continues to transform our industry in historic ways.
“Our new alliance with Kurz will build on our momentum in bringing innovative solutions to our clients, and takes advantage of Kluge’s leadership in small to medium size format solutions.”
