According to USA’s Census office, Latin American countries exported 40.2% more the steel products to the US in this August. The total quantity was 773,451 tons against 551,564 tons in the same month last year.
Brazil is the biggest exporter in terms of the volume; the country exported 361,970 tons to the US.
Mexico is second place by 303,888 tons. In terms of the value, Mexico is the biggest exporter who sold US$243 million in this August and Brazil is second place by US$224 million.
The US imported 2.6 million tons of steel products in this August, a big increase from 2.2 million tons this July.
