Korea cosmetics export increases by 30% on the first half of this year due to cosmetic makers' tremendous efforts in exploring the overseas markets, according to the report.
The report says export of health care products, such as pharmaceuticals, medical instruments and cosmetics, increases by 7.8% on last year to $3.97 billion. From the areas and countries perspective, Korea export the most health care products to China, followed by Japan, US and Hongkong.
Korean cosmetics export rises by 34.5% on year to $0.74 billion. The cosmetics export value to Europe and North America increases by 72.5% and 44.4%. Pharmaceuticals export increases by 15.3% to $1.91 billion. Medical instruments export declines by 10.5% to $1.33 bllion.
The report suggest Korea to explore new markets using appropriate exporting strategy according to different areas.
