The Lexus GS F has appeared for the second time in as many days, this time in a series of spy photos uncovering an almost completely undisguised prototype lapping the Nurburgring in Germany.
Today’s images add weight to the authenticity of yesterday’s shots that were published in a Japanese magazine, with the test car mirroring the earlier car’s design almost perfectly.
One important difference is that the track car lacks the blue GS F’s front wheelarch vents, throwing their engineering integrity into question.
It’s unclear at this stage if the spied prototypes are an accurate representation of the as-yet-unconfirmed production car’s final design, with some of the cars’ unique styling elements having a tacked-on, aftermarket appearance.
The front end of the GS F prototype sports angular air intakes with lower carbon skirts, while the rear gets a boot lid lip spoiler and a matching lower skirt with stacked quad exhaust outlets.
Every GS F prototype spied so far has worn the same multi-spoke grey alloy wheels, though these are expected to replaced by sleeker-looking units for the production model.
Reports suggest Lexus could reveal the GS F as early as the beginning of next year.
