Boho Dress Line Unveiled by Kikli Design for Spring '14

Whether it’s the beach or the desert, city or suburb, there’s nothing quite like the feeling of arriving at your vacation destination. With the launch of its debut collection, Kikli Design seeks to capture that feeling of escape and discovery through its easy, boho dress line.

Each season, the line draws inspiration from different spots on the globe, blending themes, prints, and colors to create a unique, happy aesthetic. With custom prints and easy bodies, the line seamlessly combines an effortless California vibe with the vibrancy of India. The spring ’14 line, which ranges from size 12 months to 8, will be exhibited at ENK Children’s Club in booth #3313 in New York August 4th to 6th.

“Kikli Design brings together my passion for travel—which allows me to discover new worlds and ideas—and design—which informs everything I see and touch. Therefore the line is designed to provide every mom and little girl with a tangible expression of wanderlust and the search for beauty everywhere,” says Harjot Gill, founder of Kikli Design and mom to one well-dressed and well-traveled little girl. “Kikli Design captures the fun, carefree spirit of childhood so I picked the name to reflect the lighthearted feeling I experienced as a girl, twirling with my friends in the traditional Kikli circle dance.”

For its debut, Kikli Design focuses on the complementary and contrasting styles of India and California for a unique, eclectic direction. The line is comprised of six summery dress bodies, each with its own personality and print and color combinations. The Ella is a sleeveless dress with a different fabric on each of the three tiers of its skirt.

The Cece sundress features a smocked bodice with contrasting print panels. Natasha has raglan flutter sleeves, a cinched waist and a solid color pop at the neckline. The Sasha takes the high/low hemline for a spin and features a contrasting yoke and colorful piping details. Penelope is a flowy empire-waist dress with a square neckline and contrasting patch pockets. And Jasmine delights with short sleeves, an A-line skirt, vibrant floral embroidery on the yoke and colorful piping on the bodice and hem.
