Porsche Cars North America (PCNA) has reported sales of 2,736 vehicles in September 2012, an increase of 26.08%, compared to 2,170 vehicles for the same period in September 2011.
The company sold 25,015 cars in the US, which represents an increase of 10.37%, compared to 22,664 cars for the same period last year.
Sales of the Porsche Cayenne sport utility increased 47.3% for the month, while the Panamera sport sedan sales rose 17.9%.
The company said that the Cayenne Diesel, which provides 406 lb.-ft of torque and a range of about 765 miles on a tank of fuel, accounted for nearly 20% of Cayenne sales in September.
Porsche approved certified pre-owned vehicle sales increased 22% to 871 for the month.
PCNA is the US importer of Porsche sports cars, the Cayenne SUV and Panamera sports sedan.
