Sorel opened its first-ever seasonal branded retail store at 345 W. 14th St. in Manhattan’s Meatpacking District.
The new store will open on October 30 and offer Sorel’s extensive range of stylish, protective fall and winter boots through February 2015.
“We are thrilled to be opening our first Sorel pop-up shop in New York, the epicenter of fashion and a rich market for Sorel’s core consumer,” said Tim Boyle, president and CEO, Columbia Sportswear.
“Sorel boots are a bold combination of fashion and outdoor and protection and style, which makes the Meatpacking District an ideal location. The store will allow us to explore new territory by giving customers direct access to the largest range of fall and winter boots Sorel has ever offered in a brick and mortar location,” Boyle concluded.
From the High Line, to great restaurants and hotels, to premium retailers, the Meatpacking District brings together New Yorkers and tourists in one of the city's most vibrant neighborhoods.
The 3,300 square foot Sorel pop-up shop, located at 345 West 14th St., will offer key women’s and men’s styles from the Fall and Winter 2014 collection, featuring boots designed for year-round wearability with premium waterproof leathers and sleek construction, including the new Slimboot Toronto and Ankeny collections. In addition, customers will find many of Sorel’s iconic winter boots, like the Caribou and Joan of Arctic.
The shop draws design inspiration from Sorel’s fashion-meets-utilitarian aesthetic. The store features stark contrasts of black and white, allowing the rich textures and tones of Sorel footwear to take center stage. Sleek and modern forms, with a focus on structure, create a dynamic, brand-defining Sorel retail experience.
The store is open to the public from 10 a.m. until 8 p.m., Monday through Saturday, and 11 a.m. until 7 p.m. Sunday.
