German packaging and printing company Gundlach Group, in partnership with the Dubai Multi Commodities Centre (DMCC) has opened new international tea packaging and printing factory in Dubai, working with the Dubai Tea Trading Centre (DTTC), its tea subsidiary.
The new facility will offer the tea trade both gravure as well as flexographic printing options for tea tags and tea envelopes.
At present, 80% of the company's products are being exported out of Germany and the new facility highlights its international focus and Dubai's ability to enable it to venture into new markets.
Gundlach Group chairman Paul von Schubert said the Middle East and specifically the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) is a key market for the company.
"We have decided to invest in Dubai as we consider it to be amongst the most vibrant, growing industrial hubs in the world and thus imperative to have our presence here," Schubert said.
The DTTC provides services, infrastructure and network that enable the growth of international industry participants seeking growth in the region, as well as local companies looking to scale up their business.
