Flexible packaging solutions provider Kendall Packaging is all set to expand its Jefferson, Wisconsin facility in the US in a bid to increase the production capacity of the plant.
According to the company, the 56,000ft2 addition will also double the plant's storage capacity and the expansion falls in line with its proposal to invest in its facilities and equipment to improve work flows.
Kendall Packaging manufacturing director Nate Friedl said the company will be able to better serve its customers and build upon its success in the packaging industry by doubling its capacity and increasing production capabilities.
"This expansion reflects the steady growth and expanding capabilities we've seen over the years," Friedl said.
The plant improvement comes after the launch of natural cheese and pet food product lines by Kendall, besides installations of a ten-color W&H Miraflex press and a W&H Primaflex press at its Jefferson and Pittsburg, Kansas facilities.
Completion of the expansion project is slated for late summer of 2013.
