Knitting & Stitching Show,Is Taking Place at The Royal Dublin Society

Knitting & Stitching Show, the largest textile and crafting event of Ireland, is taking place at the Royal Dublin Society, located in the Irish capital city of Dublin from November 1, 2012.

The expo, exhibiting a range of knitting, stitching and other textile crafted items, will house stalls of more than 150 retailers from Ireland and the UK.

The four-day-long event, which is considered as one of the greatest patchwork exhibitions of Europe, will serve as a meeting ground for knitters, embroiderers, cross-stitchers, felt-makers and quilters.

Nearly 23,000 craft and textile enthusiasts from schools, fashion colleges and other organizations are expected to visit the expo.

The works of popular Irish artists like Anne Harte and Caroline Schofield, which include woven tapestries and linen and Nepalese rug wool mixed pieces, will be showcased at the event.

Other than the displays of various textile crafts, the expo will additionally conduct around 90 workshops on felt making, cross stitching and millinery techniques under its Learning Curve program.

The exhibition has been coordinated by the Crafts Council of Ireland (CCoI) in conjunction with its member organizations.
