The Duty-Free Quota for Softwood Plywood Imports Into EU Has Slowed Again During April

The depletion of the duty-free quota for softwood plywood imports into the European Union has slowed again during April. Just 45, 000m³ of the quota had been booked by 25 April. Nearly 182, 000m³ of the quota was used in January, about 62, 000m³ in February and 92, 000m³ in March. The amount filled had thus increased to 395, 793m³ or 61% of the total quota of 650, 000m³ by that date. Consequently, 254, 207m³ of the total duty-free quota volume is left. As a result, the quota will probably last until at least the start of July again this year. A number of agents and importers had reached this conclusion back at the start of March.
