ACS&T Logistics has announced that following the signing of a multi-year contract with food distributors TICCO Foods, it will continue to supply food to the foodservice customers across the UK.
TICCO Foods supplies Italian sweets and savouries including breads, pastries, desserts, ice creams and snacks to the foodservice sector. It is also sole UK distributor for Bindi Brand of Italian desserts, gelato and sorbetti and Buoni e Pronti brand of savoury snacks.
ACS&T Logistics noted that with the renewed contract with ACS&T, it will continue to offer a centralized, cost-effective and integrated logistics service for the business.
In order to supply TICCO Foods' products to cafes and restaurants across the country, ACS&T has two dedicated TICCO Foods trucks, liveried in the company's trademark logo and bearing images of TICCO's products, the company said.
ACS&T's managing director Malcolm Johnstone said that under the terms of the contract, the company will continue to offer solutions for TICCO's route to market by receiving inbound stock into its Wolverhampton depot from suppliers in the UK and Italy.
"We're then picking from hundreds of different product lines to create consolidated pallets for onward delivery to TICCO's customers, in a service that will save them money on both storage and delivery costs," Johnstone added.
ACS&T Logistics is a provider of cold storage, distribution and consignment stocking services to the food industry.
