Gruppo Campari, a producer of spirits, wines and soft drinks, has unveiled its new $43m packaging facility at the Wild Turkey Distillery in Lawrenceburg, Kentucky, US.
The new packaging facility is part of the company's total investment of up to $100m in facility upgradation during a period of three years.
The Kentucky facility provides full bottling and packaging services to all the company's US distilled spirits brands such as the Wild Turkey Bourbon and SKYY Vodka.
Located on over 145,000ft2 of space, the facility features cost efficiencies; improved customer service; new opportunities; and added production flexibility through in-sourcing the company's packaging needs.
Initially, the Wild Turkey packaging facility will handle about four million nine-liter cases of product per year and later on will support the company's North American packaging platform.
The facility will meet the growth of Wild Turkey, Wild Turkey American Honey, Wild Turkey Spiced, Wild Turkey Kentucky Spirit, Russell's Reserve, Rare Breed Bourbon, and SKYY Vodka domestically and globally.
Gruppo Campari CEO Bob Kunze-Concewitz said, "By owning the full production process for all of our Wild Turkey brands, we can be more nimble in meeting the growing worldwide demand for not only Wild Turkey, but also SKYY Vodka."
